Good Christian material shouldn't be hard to find.

His delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

What's here

TheosIndex is a collection of free tools for anyone who wants to engage with the Bible and the Christian tradition. You can build a custom reading plan across any timeframe, follow a study roadmap through theology and church history, read a clear explanation of the Gospel, or find a church near you. There is also a concordance for tracing the Hebrew and Greek roots behind any word in the Bible, and a dictionary of biblical terms and places. Nothing requires an account.

Theos is the Greek word for God, the same word used throughout the New Testament, including the opening verse of John's Gospel. An index is a pointer, a way to orient yourself within a larger landscape. The name is a small gesture toward the idea that all of this points somewhere, or rather, toward someone.

Why it exists

A great deal of good material on Christianity is either scattered across the internet in formats that are hard to navigate, or buried in books that feel inaccessible to newcomers. TheosIndex tries to do one thing well: make the path a little clearer. The goal is not to replace deep study but to remove the friction that stops people from starting.

On belief and sources

TheosIndex stands within historic Christian orthodoxy, anchored in the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed, and reflects a classical Protestant tradition: a high regard for Scripture, a commitment to the Gospel of grace, and a preference for writers who have stood the test of time.

The reading plans cover the full Bible. The roadmaps prioritize classical sources; contemporary works appear only where no strong classical treatment exists.
