Second London Baptist Confession of Faith
Particular Baptist Assembly (1677-1689)
The confessional standard of seventeenth-century Particular Baptist churches in England, adopted in its final form in 1689. Closely modeled on the Westminster Confession of Faith, it substitutes believer's baptism for infant baptism and congregational polity for Presbyterian governance while affirming the same Reformed doctrines of Scripture, grace, and salvation. It remains the defining confession of Reformed Baptist churches worldwide.
